Introducing: Jackie Botha
Jackie Botha joined HART Fertility Clinic in 2019. Having been in the customer service industry for over 17 years, she is extremely passionate when it comes to dealing with patients. Her main objective every day is to ensure that patients’ experiences at the clinic are the best they can be. She is a proud mother of three and loves exploring the Mother-City with her family.
We sat down with Jackie to find out more about what she does at HART, but also to discover what makes Jacks tick.
What is your primary role at HART?
My role is predominantly managing HART’s accounts; I have to ensure all patient and supplier accounts are reconciled daily. I also work closely with patients in terms of account queries. On top of that, I manage all the bookkeeping records.
Tell us what you get up to on a typical day at the clinic?
My day at the clinic starts at approx. 7:30am, with a much-needed LARGE cup of coffee! I work very closely with Jacqui Whittaker, our Practice Manager, who advises and delegate any urgent follow-ups for me to attend too. I then sort out quote requests for treatment, responding to them accordingly. It is my job to capture patient payments made by EFT or online payments. I then need to prepare patient accounts, for treatment and procedures, and to capture any payments made by patients for the clinic. My days are busy yet extremely fulfilling!
What is your favourite part of working for HART?
The HART family is an extremely special one, so it really does makes each day an adventure at the clinic. What really warms my heart is knowing that I am somewhat involved in a patient’s journey to parenthood; which is truly a blessing to me. I also love the fact that HART is so actively involved in various charity organisations, which I am immensely proud to be a part of.
Tell us one thing that people don’t know about you?
I can hold my breath for up to 4 minutes and I have an IQ of 144!
Do you have any hobbies?
Can I put my kids down as my favourite hobbies? Haha. Seriously though, whatever my kids are interested in, I jump in whole-heartedly. We go from building electrical robots to swimming. We are currently learning to play the keyboard at home.
What is your proudest moment to date whether it be professional or personal?
Phew! There are many! I would have to say, so far, is watching my three kids grow and being there for all their milestones and achievements. OH, and working at HART is definitely a proud moment – HA!
Aah, that is awesome! Ok, so FINAL question, what is your favourite quote that you live by?
“Positive energy equals positive results.”
