With our regular newsletter for HART Fertility Clinic, we hope to inspire, educate and support our past, current, and future patients. Especially now in these times of uncertainty, we want you to know that we are here for you every step of the way. We are passionate about what we do and work hard to highlight infertility issues as well as create a safe place where we offer support and care whenever you need it.

As December rolls in, we feel it is important to highlight the importance of changing your lifestyle and eating habits if you are struggling to conceive; Nourishing your body in the correct way can significantly increase your chances of falling pregnant. If you are overweight or obese, you may see a dramatic improvement in the ovulation rate and normalization of insulin levels by reducing your body mass index (BMI). Regular menstruation cycles and ovulation will often return to normality, which will increase your chances of falling pregnant.

We sat down with Kirby Hendricks, HART’s Registered Dietitian to ask some key health questions regarding nutrition and its effect on fertility. Read blog below.

WHY YOGA CAN BENEFIT IVF
Yoga is a mind, body, and soul experience. From the minute you join a class to the end is a space of support, peace, and relaxation. Starting yoga when you begin your conception journey is a wonderful time to go inward and turn your attention to your soul, allowing for your mind to calm down and become a sanctuary for your good. HART PROUDLY INTRODUCES:
OUR NEW ASSOCIATE TEAM MEMBERS

At HART we are passionate about our patients as a WHOLE rather than the clinical aspect of the fertility process.
We are a boutique holistic fertility clinic in the heart of Cape Town’s CBD, where we offer our patients access to three reproductive medicine specialists, one of whom pioneered fertility treatment in South Africa, to a homeopath, acupuncturist, genetic counselor, social worker, dietitians,
chiropractic, a sophrologist, and a yoga fertility expert. We customize patients’ treatments in a way that honors our belief that everyone is unique and deserving of the best possible service throughout their journeys.
We are delighted to welcome the three newest members of the HART family.

Fertility Chiropractic:
DR. GLENN CALEY

For those trying to conceive or undergoing fertility treatment, ensuring you have an optimally functioning nervous system is key. It is our nervous system that controls all automatic functions of the body, and this includes things like heart rate, digestion, and hormonal secretions, and balance. Fertility and conception require the perfect balance of hormones and timing. Coordinating this is the job of the nervous system.
Chiropractic care supports the nervous system to do its job. Read Glenn’s full bio below.
